SICONA
The SICONA Nature Conservation Syndicate is responsible for the planning, accompaniment, and implementation of various projects (including educational activities).
Purchase of nature conservation areas
Various projects can only be realized on public land, for example when the nature conservation measure leads to a significant economic devaluation of a property. SICONA and its member municipalities have particularly within the framework of various LIFE projects acquired land for nature conservation in NATURA 2000 areas. The negotiations with potential sellers are conducted by the planning department, which also prepares purchase commitments (compromises) for the municipalities. In various cases, it is also necessary to exchange land in order to be able to implement a project. This is also the task of the planning department.
