"Quality Objective" for the Alzette water
On March 13, 2017, French and Luxembourgish elected officials signed a contract on the depollution of the Alzette. On the French side, the objective is to permanently connect all residences to the wastewater treatment plant in Audun-le-Tiche. This is the bulk of the work, with over five million euros in planned works. On the Luxembourgish side, the idea is to multiply the gains of depollution by renaturing the Alzette. The works amount to 3.6 million euros. The first works will take place this year.
